PERSONAL
EXCELLENCE IN COSMETIC SURGERY |
You
can be confident that your standards for personal excellence will be
matched by a
commitment to those standards by Dr. Burnett.
New
patients have an idea, sometimes very specific and sometimes not so clear,
on how a cosmetic procedure might improve her (or his) appearance.
This is the beginning of their latest endeavor to achieve
personal excellence, a journey that uses physical means to achieve
personal goals. Usually it
takes quite a long time for a patient to decide to go ahead and get a
cosmetic procedure,
especially if it involves surgery.
For
Dr. Burnett, personal excellence with each new patient begins with a
commitment to, first and foremost, learning the patient’s physical and
personal goals. “I want to
find out what’s bothering each patient.
I need to make sure I understand each new patient well enough to
give her what she really wants”.
“We
get very involved with each patient.
We take our time. Most
doctors go only as far as eliminating the problems that patients complain
about. We " listen.”
This is one of Dr. Burnett’s measurements of his own personal
excellence, and one of the strong characteristics that makes his practice
outstanding.
“The
knife is not always a solution to life’s problems.”
Dr. Burnett has performed thousands and thousands of procedures,
but first and foremost he makes sure that surgery is the best way for each
patient to achieve her goals. “I
have to be convinced that surgery is the best way to get from point A to
point B. This is what I
expect from myself. If
surgery is not the only way a patient can achieve her goals, I present the
options.”
